Optical Mark Reading (OMR)
Optical Mark Reading (OMR) uses paper-based forms on which responders simply mark a pre-defined box to answer a question. The system needs no special equipment to mark a form other than a pen/pencil. The OMR scanner then processes and checks the forms for errors ‘on the fly’ and the data is sent directly into the project database in real time unless an error is detected. Can achieve very high throughput speeds with very low error rates (less
than half percent).
